Pirate of Caribbean Cutlass Sword, The Cutlass was a vicious weapon used most effectively in the close quarters of ship combat. Originally the Cutlass was found to be an effective tool on the ship, quite capable of cleaving ropes. Shortly it was found to just as effective at cleaving through enemies. This was the melee weapon of choice for pirates, privateers and sailors on the high sea.
