InuYasha - Tessaiga: Iron-crushing Fang Katana

Inuyasha, the main star of the anime is half demon, half human. He possesses a human heart but strong demon like claws and strength. 50 years ago, he tried to obtain the Shikon stone, which can turn him into a full demon, but was stopped by the maiden who protects the stone: Kikyo.

This sword is of a regular katana looks but in the anime series it means alot to the defense of InuYasha. This sword is made from 440 Stainless Steel, has a black scabbard with a red ring at the top. The handle is wrap with brown nylon string. The guard on the InuYasha katana is made from stainless steel. This sword is a must for all the InuYasha Fans.



Tessaiga is a fictional sword in the anime and manga series InuYasha, wielded by half-human, half-yo-kai, InuYasha. The kanji, directly translated, means "iron-crushing fang".

The Tessaiga was made from a fang of InuYasha's and Sesshomaru's full-blooded yo-kai father. In its "docile" form, the sword looks like an ordinary (and rather battered) katana. The sword is enchanted with a barrier that severely burns any demon who might try to wield it.

Since Tessaiga is a sword designed to protect humans, its attacks are extremely deadly to yo-kai in particular. It is said that the Tessaiga has the power to slay 100 yo-kai in one swing by striking using the Wind Scar technique. (Possibly add a link to the unsealed version here)
